Terra Cotta Basic Planter, White Patina

White patina terra cotta planter hand-thrown by artisans in Sabanagrande, Honduras, designed by Bloomist with a classic rounded profile in six sizes. The whitewash patina is applied by hand and left to dry in open air, settling into the clay's surface in its own pattern of wear across every piece. The result reads closer to aged stone than painted clay, the pale surface softening at points where the warm terra cotta shows through beneath. The Bloomist mark is stamped into one side. No two pieces carry the same finish. With a profile that sits slightly lower and wider than the Studio Planter, the Basic Planter suits plants that spread as much as they grow. Small through Medium work well on windowsills, counters, and shelves for herbs, succulents, and compact foliage. Large through XXX-Large accommodate deep-rooted plants that need room to establish properly. A drainage hole is built into the base of every size, making these handmade terracotta pots suitable for both indoor and outdoor planting. Pair with the matching white patina tray to protect surfaces, or set on a Wrought Iron Plant Stand for added height. Also available in Grey Patina. In cold climates, bring planters indoors through winter to protect the clay from frost.
